The Story Behind Pillar
Pillar was born from Chef Peja Krstic's desire to create a restaurant that balances elevated culinary technique with everyday approachability. After earning acclaim for his modern Vietnamese concept Mot Hai Ba, Chef Peja set his sights on something deeply personal—redefining American cuisine through a global lens, using seasonal, farm-forward ingredients. Located in the heart of Dallas's Bishop Arts District, Pillar opened its doors in 2024 .
The restaurant is a tribute to the idea that familiar flavors can be transformed through care, creativity, and cultural influence. Pillar's menu pulls from across the American South, West Coast freshness, and international accents, all while remaining grounded in ingredient-driven cooking.
Chef Peja's vision is simple: bring people together over food that feels familiar yet exciting. The menu evolves with the seasons, the cocktail program reflects playful sophistication, and the ambiance is thoughtfully designed to welcome guests without pretense. Pillar is not just a restaurant—it's a place where community, craftsmanship, and creativity meet.
